About Me:
Brent D. ChampagneEver since I was a child I have always shared a love for the outdoors. My father, at the time, was a huge influence on my appreciation of what the world had to offer. The smell of the pine trees, soothing sounds of birds whistling in the distance, and the rewarding scenery of a late afternoon when it appeared as a painted canvas. Unfortunately as I grew, technology followed, and so did my interest. I started to lose the love for being outdoors. I would hide in my room allowing electronics to eclipse me from the world. It wasn't until late May of 2010, when my father sadly passed, that my desire to be submerged by nature slowly came back. Being by a lake or hiking through a forest simply became a way to remember my father, a way for me to feel his presence, even if it is just the wind brushing against my skin. The world has so much beauty and excitement to offer, but we as human beings, sadly, take it all for granted. My father had always stressed that it's the simple things in life that can bring the most happiness. As I grow older, I immediately being to realize that he was right.
